Lo Wang decides to take matters into his own hands and go inside the dragon to finish the job. However, the dragon eats the raccoon as planned once they're there, but the mask-bomb goes off too quickly, barely harming the dragon. The team decides to send Motoko's magical raccoon as bait, and Lo Wang is tasked with delivering the animal near the dragon's position. Once they find Hoji, he agrees to willingly surrender his god-powers and turn over the mask to use it against the dragon, thus making him mortal.

Lo wang tries to look for Hoji, but he is nowhere to be seen, so Zilla steps up and says that there's a tracking device in Hoji's mask and shows the god near the Heart Tree. This plan backfires and only makes the dragon angrier (and deadlier), causing Hoji to flee the area and leaving Lo Wang to wonder what happened.

Once the machine is powered up, Hoji tries to harness the dragon's power instead of killing it. Now that they know what to do, Lo Wang follows Hoji and helps him turn on the Doomsday Device by reactivating three different Power Relays. He suggests using a Doomsday Device to harvest Chi energy, attract the dragon and kill it. The plan worked perfectly, and now Hoji is back. Afterward, they take the egg down a river to reach a hot sping and use the area's magical properties to accelerate the hatching process.

Now that they have a plan, the two friends track down the bird's nest, fight the Ancient Cock guarding the egg and steal it. However, upon delivering the mask to Motoko, Lo Wang realizes there's some part of Hoji still alive and attached to that mask, so he steals it to save his friend.Īfter running away from Zilla and Mototoko, Lo wang and Hoji plan to restore his physical body by stealing an egg from an ancient bird-like yokai and using its magical properties to give Hoji a physical body. To amend his mistakes, Lo Wang partners up with Zilla to weaponize Hoji's mask with Motoko's help and use it to kill the dragon. This game's story starts a few months after the events of Shadow Warrior 2 when Lo Wang released an ancient dragon into the world that destroyed everything and everyone.
